Looking for FTP stats software with GUI

I'm fairly familiar with proftpd and vsftpd on linux as I have been using them for quite some time. I can honestly say that I have found no cons when it comes to either of these ftp servers.

I'm looking for a piece of software with a nice GUI that can organize and show real-time and past info on connections such as:

- IP Address
- Connection Time
- Directories browsed
- up/down speeds
- timestamps
- files accessed (downloaded or uploaded) etc

I have googled and looked around on yumex, but I haven't seen anything that has really cought my eye. I know Bulletproof FTP server (Windows FTP server) can do these things. This is what I used for a while, and it worked great, but now I have converted to linux and need to find an alternative. I'm not sure really what to look for, tools that run along side of the ftpd or another GUI frontend. This is why I have come here to ask the experts.

btw: please excuse my english, it is not my first language.

Awstats, yeah the one for web pages, but it also does ftp site as well.

Use your web browser on the linux box if you already had awstats installed.

Check into pure-ftp - may be close, if not what you're looking for.

yum install pure-ftpd

Once you start the server (/etc/rc.d/init.d/pure-ftpd start), have someone logged in, run pure-ftpwho - see if that gives you what you're after.

marcrblevins, Awstats looks to b a good recommendation, thank you. I am thinking about installing Awstats today and by the looks of it, it will double as my FTP and HTTP stats guide. The only problem I am concerned with (or didn't see yet) about Awstats is that it does not show real-time and command-by-command activity. Although I do believe so far, it is the best solution for long term tracking.

While reading an article in Linux Format magazine, I came across a picture of a linux FTP server called Crossftp (http://www.crossftp.com/crossftpserver.htm) and I noticed there's a "Spy" section in the function list. The Crossftp docs state that I can monitor all user activity and the Spy section in the manual for "Spy" (http://www.crossftp.com/crossftpservermanual.htm#2_7) isn't very specific.

Does anyone here use Crossftp? I want to know some opinions about it, as I may try it later today. If anyone has any information on it's built in tracking feature, it would be helpful to me.

I am still looking for a FTP server with a GUI with traffic monitoring.

This is the windows version of bulletproof ftp server that I used while I was still on windows, it has the feature I'm looking for: http://www.bpftpserver.com/products/...r_activity.gif

I've been looking at some GUI interfaces with proftpd, but so far nothing has looked suitable. From what I can tell there isn't much like that for ultra-fast vsftpd (but I don't need an ultra fast FTP server). Crossftp server, looks interesting, but I can't seem to get past web installation (I'd rather compile anyway).

Anyone have any advice?
