F7 Won't Shut Down

After installing Fedora 7 it won't shut down. It gets to 'system halted' and stays there; I have to shut it off with the switch. My brother has the same problem with F7, but neither of us had the problem in Fedora cores 1-6. Any ideas?
Thanks,
SomeDamFool

F7 Shutdown Fixed

I disabled the xen VM in the services manager, then changed from the xen kernel to the standard kernel as default in boot manager. My machine shuts down and powers off properly every time now.

sudo vi /etc/grub.conf

find the entry for the kernel you're using, and add "acpi=force" to the kernel options (it'll be on a "module" line rather than the "kernel" line if you're using Xen).

That fixed it for me.

ISTR this issue is fixed in later kernel-xen releases, but I've not tried removing the above to see if it still powers off.
