OS Fedora 7 cleanly installed on a Compaq Presario 1830
The Presario has a touchPad that allows me control under startx
but all mouse signals are ignored.
Before I run startX the touchpad allow a cursor block to be moved around the screen
and moving the mouse provides psmouse.c messages like
psmouse.c: issuing reconnect request
psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost sync at byte 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I know Fedora sees the mouse and the touchpad
But after StartX is launched, only the Touchpad works,
and not the mouse.
Somewhere I recall giving a command like
append psmouse.proto=imps
when running SUSE but I forgot when this command was keyed in
Under Fedora 7 running within startX
is it possbile to have both the TouchPad and the Mouse concurrently active ?
That was the capability under Microsoft Windows 2K
If not both then I would like to have the mouse active
(Intellimouse 1.1 A PS/2 Compatible)
and the TouchPad either active or inactive.
