Unable to reach internet

I've just installed fedora 7 and I'm not able to activate my network card (3Com) to use internet; Fedora detects it and I'm able to create a new xDSL connection, but i starts thinking and after almost a minute it shows ths screen:

System-config-network:

Cannot activate network device yacom! (yacom! is the name I select)

/usr/sbin/adsl-start: line 215: 3067
Terminated $CONEC "$2" > /dev/null
2>&1

I've to say also that it shows and ethernet connetion activated.

At hardware tab it shows the network card as device eth0 (the one is using ethernet connection.

Moreover, I add DNS but this dissapears once system is restarted.

Thank you very much for your help
