Things I can't stand (or understand) about KDE/K3B

... The selection tool... Selecting files in the file view of K3B has got to be most absurd thing I've seen towards file selection in any OS or GUI environment yet! How come, if the files are organized in columns, and you move to one file to the next in sequence with the up and down arrows, if you want to select a group of files that span to two or more columns, you can't do so by means of selecting the first file you want, press [shift] and then the 'last' file and you have your group? That would be the way I'm used to using the selection tool in various operating systems and GUI environments, but NO, KDE (or K3B?) had to go against the convention and if you select the first file, press shift and then the end file, and suppose your group of files spanned through three columns, you'd only have the three files in the same 'row' selected. How is this easier? I find myself having to go the extra mile, and select the starting file, press [shift] and arrow-down then stop at the wanted end-file. I don't understand why is it this way, but I sure can't stand it either!

I had to get it out of my chest, as I'm currently doing a lot of backups on DVD with K3B... As much as I hate its selection tool, I still believe it is THE best burning tool available on Linux, even if it only serves as a frontend for a range of CLI applications.
