I can't hear anything!

Hi

I'm a new linux user and i have a problem with the sound. I don't hear anything. Do i have to configure the system (Fedora 7) in n other way or do i have to install something like a driver. I'm using the onboard sound of an old a7n8x board with nvidia nforce2 chip.

Thanks up front

Greetz

have you checked to see if sound is muted?
did you test the sound when given the option during installation of f7?
the driver is included in f7.

You can check wheter it's muted or not by opening a terminal and do:

su -
yum install alsamixergui

Then start it

alsamixergui

See if it helps...
