FC& box taking long to lookup and browse

hi all..

i got an FC7 box running... at present its behind a debian box that shares internet access and acts as a firewall and runs a DHCP service...

my windows machines behind the same debian box and dont take long to lookup and browse the internet.. but my FC7 box does.

all the windows clients are using the DHCP server.... my FC7 is hardwired with the dns info and gateway information... and it takes ages to browse and look up.. even when i have it getting an ip address from the DHCP service it still takes long..

any ideas?

PS -> it has a Gb nic. matter of fact all the pcs have gb nics and the switch is a gb switch.

HELP
