how to identify new hardware and install in linux

Hi ,

I have newly installed fedora linux..
previously i was using windows. I have a wireless WAN through which i used to connect to internet using windows
currently after installing linux . how can i activate this wireless WAN and connect to internet.

You most likely need a specific driver to get the card working at all. The first step would be to find out what chipset your card is using. Almost everything after that is dependent on what chipset you are working with.

how can i know the details of the hardware ...
and in linux where can i find that... is there any way to find using windows!!

If this is a prebuilt system start by finding out the model number of the system. Then look that up and find the wireless info. You will probably then need to cross reference the wireless to find out exactly what chipset you've got. A single chipset is often released under several brands, and with different model numbers.
