Binding processes to CPU cores

We just got some new game servers and I need help getting them optimized.

Here are the specs:

Inte Xeon X3220 Quad Core [4x2.4GHz, 2x4MB Cache]
2GB DDR2 667MHz ECC RAM
73GB SAS 15,000 RPM
Running Fedora Core 7
Game: Call of Duty United Offensive 1.51

The game does not support multi-core CPU's.
Is there any way to bind the games process or PID to specific CPU cores to enhance performance?

Thanks,

Tony

Binding processes to specific CPUs reduces the performance in most cases, the Linux kernel is fairly good in allocating resources. If you want to experiment, use the "taskset" command. See "man taskset" for instructions.
