I thought presenting them on both light and dark backgrounds would make a difference.

Oh, did you know the price of beer in the US is going up? Farmers have started growing more corn to make into ethanol, and less hops, among other things.

I voted for 3.png since it seemed to work the best with both light and dark backgrounds.

The US does lead the world in the caliber of it's BS and excuses for making excessive profits while blaming the other guy. Oil went up, so ethanol is a solution, which drives up the cost of corn, which causes refineries to stop improvements since they won't be needed, which drives up the price of oil which drives up the cost of corn, which somehow drives up the cost of my dearly beloved brewskis! THIS MUST STOP!!! We must turn to Foreign Breweries for the solution, which must be shipped to us, consuming oil, which drives up the price, which creates the need for corn to produce the ethanol to combat the foreign oil, which....ow, ow, ow, my head...

Currently ethanol is much cheaper then gasoline. In time the prices will level out. I do think it is rather interesting that so much natural gas is consumed in the production of ethanol, when you can easily run a vehicle on natural gas.

hmmm, I was gonna vote for two but after reading everyones post I looked again. I like the bottle on 3 on the dark background however I like the lighter brush tip on 2. I think 3 has my vote for how they sit now though.

I was torn between 3 and 6 but in the end voted for 3. It's not practical to have 2 icons

I left the multiple option open so people could vote for the favorite and second favorite. If one icon was everybodies second choice an nobodies first then that would be the one included.

If you call a refrigerator mechanical, then I suppose it is. It's basically a big tank filled with water that has coolant pipes and beer tubes coiled through it. The beer is pumped with CO2.

Too right, Seve! We'll be having a roof-top BBQ in a couple of weeks' so I need to return the empties and order a couple more kegs for that. Just have to decide what and how many we need. Before I do that though, I want to run a PBW solution through the tubes and let it soak and clean them for a while. I might run some Sani-Clean (Sanitiser) through 'em too!

PBW=Powdered Brewery Wash. It's what breweries and home brewers use to clean their equipment.
