CPU usage

Hi everyone!! I'm new in Linux.
I have very weird problem, When I open more windows (Mozilla+Skype) Xorg is takes to much CPU % and it slows down the work of the system.
My PC is build of:
MB: ASUS A8N32-SLI deluxe
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
VGA: Nvidea Geforce 6600
RAM: 1.5 GB
OS: Fedora 7

Not sure what your problem is, but you can try the top command in a terminal and post the output. That way perhaps someone can help you.

This suggestion has nothing to do with your problem but, don't use root as "regular" user. Instead you should create a normal user account.

+1 for this suggestion, that will dramatically improve security in your system.

I have noticed that when I log in as root my system runs alot slower.
I'm not sure what the problem is but maybe if you log in as a regular user it will run faster.

quick question did you install the 64 bit or the 32 bit
