Hallo,
I installed Fedora 7 on Dell 750. With lspci I can see the grafic card as
03:0e.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL (rev 27).

When I try to start the X server I get these messages:

Build ID: xorg-x11-server 1.3.0.0-9.fc7
Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org
to make sure that you have the latest version.

What driver is specified in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?
There is an example for Gentoo Linux at http://www.x.org/wiki/radeon that you could use for comparison.
You can probably use the advaced search feature of this forum and find other examples.
The "(WW)" notation makes it look like the message is not from the radeon driver. I don't recall exactly what that drivers initials are when it appears in the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file , perhaps "(II)" ?
