fc6 32bit --> f7 64bit

i want to update my fc6 32bit to f7 64bit.
are there any known problems in doing updates to an other architecture?

if i update are the config files overwritten or do they stay as they are?

(i know it has nothing to do with installing fedora but i dont want to open an extra thread)
is there any command i can use in a shell script that stops the parsing of the script for a few seconds?

You can't upgrade from i386 to x86_64, you must do a clean re-install. Make a backup of your config files or any other data you want to keep.

For your script you want
Code:
youcommand -options /argument&
sleep 20
whatever -else you/want/to/do
The sleep is the most important part. It will pause the script for a number of seconds equal to the number following it.
