Question network won't work until after I access 192.168.2.1

Recently installed F7, network wasn't working so I poked around and ran "Network Configuration" under the Administration menu (in KDE). I saw that it had DNS of 192.168.2.1 (my router) so it made no sense that it wasn't working (won't load web pages, can't browse SMB, etc).

So I tried to access my router by typing the IP 192.168.2.1 in Firefox and it loaded fine. Once I loaded that, everything else works too.

Is this a bug I should submit? Have others encounterd a similar problem? The same PC works fine with other Linux distros/Windows, so it's not a hardware issue.

I'm not sure where to look to diagnose this further, are there some error logs I should look at somewhere?

This is prob. not related, but the Nvida driver also isn't working w/F7 on this PC, but does work with other distros.

When you connect through home router, do not leave DNS entries to be detected automatically. Your DNS should not be the router. It may work but it will be always slower than when you enter the right DNS servers in your network.
Consult with your internet company and get the names of their DNS servers and manually enter them using "Network Configuration" program.

I can go to my router's config page and see the DNS servers there. Thanks for the tip, if I notice any slowness I'll go ahead and put in those DNS addresses instead of leaving the default 192.168...

I found what was wrong. I had installed virtualization, which installs xen. It seems that the xen kernel is only 6.2.20 but the rest of F7 is 6.2.21 kernal. So having the xen installed breaks a few things, including networking and the nvidia-kmod driver.
