Realtek RTL8110SC Onboard Ethernet

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new with Linux, well let me rephrase, I'm a complete noob when it comes to Linux but I'm giving it a shot here.

I've got Fedora Core 5 installed and am trying to get the basics working like the Ethernet and audio. I have a ASUS P5VD2-X motherboard which has an onboard ethernet connection. Can someone help me get at least my internet working?

*edit* It looks like I got my audio working after playing with it some but still no internet.

Thanks,
Jeff

You need a 2.6.20 kernel, at least.

Ok, I decided to jump up to FC6 but then for some reason after I did the install and I rebooted, upon the undev process starting my monitor goes blank and no signal is being sent. I'm just going to try now up to FC7...

Well when I tried 7 it gives me a message saying its missing some drivers. I assume they are SATA drivers as that's what it shows as alternates but I'm not even using a SATA drive.

Has anyone else had the problem of the udev process failing in Fedora 6 with a nVidia 7100GS graphics card?
