Transaction check error

Can someone explain what is happening this 'transaction check error',
I have tried this after installing 'smart' still getting this error. I wonder how fedora plan to compete with windows if it can't install package from its repo?

[root@localhost /]# yum install wine
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments

1st most of us do not think that Fedora is in competition with M$.

Is there a really compelling reason that you are running 64bit? 99% of people will not see any performance differences between 32-bit and 64bit. 64bit is fine unless you need 32bit apps like wine, flash, etc. Then you run into problems. In this case wine needs the 32bit version of a few libs and your system needs the 64bit versions. This can be worked around but it is a PITA.

My best advice is to switch to 32bit (at least until you understand what you are doing). It will be much easier for you to make the transition from windows. When F8 is released in 5(?) months you can reevaluate where you are at (64bit vs 32bit).

What app were you looking to run in wine? For most things there are linux equivalents. If you were thinking about running games in wine, just save yourself the time.

Good Luck
