dual head on macbook

hi,
i have a macbook, whos resolution is 1280x800 and i want to use another monitor (1280x1024) as second screen. not mirror display, but just to have two desktops. back when i used osx it worked great, i just had to plug it in. with fedora 6 and now 7 i cant get it to work. ive tried around in the dual head section in the system configuration and also tried to edit xorg.conf manually, but it wont work with any configuration. has any1 a running system with a similar config or an idea of how to get it working????

thanx,
mike

I have pretty much the same problem! Clues:
* I think the FC6 version used the i810 driver, while F7 chooses the 'intel' driver by default
* F7 no longer requires the '915resolution' bodge to get 1280x800 from the Macbook (change of driver?)
* If I go system-config-display, it does not respond to the 'OK' button if I have 'enable dual-head' ticked
Apart from this my F7-on-Macbook experience has been great!

Done it!
I found a working snippet on this page: http://snippets.dzone.com/posts/show/3245
I needed to install 915resolution and edit /etc/rc.local to run it before I could get 1280x800 on the laptop display.
