Yes, go to system ->administration -services. Uncheck the dhcdbd service and why your there enable the 2 NetworkManager services, they are the top 2 services in the list. Save the settings but also do the same for runlevel 3 and save it also. Next go to system ->administration ->network and select your wireless card and uncheck the "activate on boot" and put a check mark in the box "allow users to enable/disable device. Also check the boxes for "dhcp" and "obtain DNS" info and save it. Do the same for your ethernet device also. Reboot the computer, you should now have a new icon in the top panel notification area, left click the icon and select the AP you want to connect to, if it's SSID is hidden you will have to select the "connect to other network" option from the NM icon.....
