11.6 is as bad as before when used with gnome-shell, so stay clear.

Re: Howto for fglrx / catalyst (Ati driver)
I just got Fedora 15 Installed.
I have a ATI 5650 switchable to an Intel card (inheritted from the i5 processor)
How am I suppose to approach this? (BTW I'm totally fine with completely deactivating the ATI card, just i can't do it in my BIOS)
Using GNOME shell
Also I can't use the switchable mode in the BIOS, or else the computer won't boot. There are a bunch of messages, mentioning radeon and everest. Where can I find the log file and post it?

Re: Howto for fglrx / catalyst (Ati driver)
Installed the driver. But I am getting an "Unsupported Hardware" message at the lower right corner of my screen. I tried using Ksnapshot but it doesn't show in the screenshot. Has AMD written on it with the message below it.
Edit: Forgot to mention which card I have. Its Radeon HD 6790.

Don't bother asking here as it is a waste of time, ati needs to fix this issue.
Has anyone filed a bug report with ati?, if not this issue will be around for another 18 months or longer

Why would it? as ATI have made no effort to fix their crappy driver.

Re: Howto for fglrx / catalyst (Ati driver)
I have the HIS HD 4350 iFan Native HDMI 512MB (64bit) DDR3 AGP. No driver installed in any way will work so far. Once I install the driver and restart I get a blank/black screen. I have tried several distros. I am starting to think that the HD 4350 in AGP form is not supported by any drivers.
