Anyone know a way to change keypad codes that "read" as ^[[B or \e[B from a terminal to map to Control-N (or C-n) that actually works in dialog input fields (i.e. jump to next field as control+n does)? I've tried changing termcap/terminfo databases and added lines in .inputrc that only seemed to change the console itself. However, when I run a batch script that uses "dialog" with more than one field, I can not navigate to the next field with using the keypad arrows (with numlock off). The only reason I need these codes to remap to <ctl>+n is that I'm trying to write a simple dialog input screen that will be run from an iPAQ phone with a nub/joystick. The joystic transmits up/down/left/right with escape sequences just as the keypad on a pc. Anyway, is it possible to remap keys such as the keypad to <ctl>+n while using dialog input forms? I've been stuck on this for about 3 days...I've read bash man, curses man, termcap man, and terminfo man until they run together.
