Guidance needed for scripting 'Map Object' in GIMP

Hello,

I've been trying to do a little scripting with GIMP but now after look at a few samples I'm more confused than when I started... What I'd like to do is to select and image (or layer of an image, what ever is easier) and have it mapped ('Map Object' filter) to plane - First at 10% Y rotation, then at 20%, then 30%, etc. This is so that I can input an image and have it rotate around as a GIF. I don't want anybody to program the whole thing for me, but just give me some pointers as to how I should properly initialize the new image, create the new layer and if possible call the Map Object plugin.

Thank you,
Firewing1

Hi, perhaps the following is what you want, it's an animated rotation plug-in
