ext4 on fc7 ?

hello

I have one question about the filesystem ext4 , is this avaiable in fc7 during the setup ?

no. maybe as a package in yum, but it wasnt listed in the project must haves on the fedora site.

im miffed about 7...dont see the need to spin a distro for my friends who have been using AIX and BSD since the dawn of time, and still think virtualization is something they did when they went to woodstock..

Ext4-devel is available as part of the upstream kernel but it is a experimental development version of ext4. You wouldn't want to use it just yet.

Possible but it depends on upstream development where multiple vendors including Red Hat, IBM and Bull are involved. The latest report is at http://kerneltrap.org/node/8119
