How to build php-mhash and php-mcrypt?

Hi,
I've just recompiled the php-5.1.6-3.src.rpm in order to add firebird/interbase support to php in FC6. The build process was succesful, my phpinfo() shows the interbase support, but there were no php-mhash or php-mcrypt packages created. The mentioned packages usually come from fedora-extras. How do they build them?
Do I need to build these packages at all? Or is it enough to install them via yum?
