Problems installing programs dependence libpython2.4.so.1.0 missing.

python-2.4.4-1.fc6 is installed, so fc6 states when I tried to install python-2.4.4-1.fc6.rpm, which contains the libpython2.4.so.1.0 the program needs. I have surfed the web and found a lot of people with the same problem, but I haven't come across a solution as of yet. Anyone have one? I would be please to find or hear of one.
Cheers,
Scooby-Doobie
