L2TP SElinux
Can anybody advise me how to implement L2TP in fedora core 6? Probably this may be done using SELinux, but how?

Go to http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ and looks through their FAQs. There isnt too many other sites that offer help on FC6 that are any good. You may do this through SELinux though I believe, but not positive.

Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol and Security Enhanced Linux have nothing to do with each other.

Really because L2TPd runs as root and for extra security you can shoehorn them into a chroot jail or selinux policy. Selinux policies have a lot more to do what L2TP than most think. Maybe im wrong, but I believe they have something to do with one another, maybe not in the instance maidantal is looking for, but they do have "something" to do with each other.

SELinux policies can be used to restrict file and process access for anything that runs under it, but L2TP and SELinux are "related" about as much as your car is related to pothole repair.

Nice real world scenario. Not bad for a software enginner to be totally honest. Normally they dont have the personality to come up with those kind of things

Thank you very much for the interesting discussion, but I just need to connect to my internet provider, which requires L2TP, from just installed fedora core 6. I have found and installed xl2tpd, but I don't know how configure it (I have the url and ip address of the server, my user name and password). Where can I find an instruction?
