To run totally in Stealth mode one would have to have every port closed, but if your running a network of a few or more PC"s this is very impractical, all our home computers are running in full stealth mode by Implementing a Hardware Firewall such as a Smoothwall, if you have any old PC say 486, PII or PIII you could easily whip one up in a couple of hours see link in signature for more information.
