Keyboard remapping

Hi guys,

I am having a problem with my Fujitsu C-Series laptop with FC6 installed.
My Keyboard from time to time will remap itself. When it gets remapped,
it turns that section of the keyboard into a keypad (u=4,i=5,etc.). I can fix
it by hitting Ctrl-Alt-Fx and then back to Gnome with Ctrl-Alt-F7.

It's very annoying. It only happens under FC6 and not XP. Can't figure
out way or how it happens. It is fine after a fresh install but then starts
happening after a few weeks.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time.

William

You are probably hitting the numlock key by accident. Your solution will switch numlock off, but easier is to simply hit the numlock key again.

I can guaranty you I am not hitting 'numlock'. I will try it next time to see if it clears
up the problem.

Thanks for the tip.

Well it happened again and hitting 'numlock' fixed it. Still would like to know why it is happening!

Thanks again.
