hacked?

i'm trying to host a website on my own computer, but now i notice some strange events. for example, the computer that is hosting the website is trying to send packets to another computer on the lan on port 47350, 47351, 54444, and a few others. how can i find out what's causing this traffic? also, since i'm hosting a website, port 80 is open, does that mean people can use that computer as an open proxy or something? i don't want to appear on a proxy list.

Code:
netstat -lp
shows the port and program of listeners. Also exploit detectors like chkrootkit and rkhunter try to track down suspicious activity.

http is a different protocol from a proxy. Although you still need to be wary of security with the port open.
