Cisco VPN Client connection reset by peer

I've installed the Cisco VPN client on my laptop which now has FC6 installed. Found instructions here for fixing the compilation problems, sweet! But after configuring everything and attempting to connect I get an error indicating that the connection has been reset by the peer.

I then see this message
"Peer Platform Type or Version not Allowed"

Any idea why I would be seeing that? I'm stumped.

I'd rather use vpnc, but I figure out if that supports certificates or not, my company uses certificates.

I am facing the exact same trouble. I have installed everything, finally when i try to connect I get the same messege "Secure VPN Connection terminated by Peer. Reason: Peer Platform Type or Version Not Allowed".
If you found the solution, please help.

Turns out its related to the VPN settings from your IT dept. looks like they are like my IT dept. and don't allow any but windows hosts to connect.
