Fedora 7 boot.iso & grub

Hi,

I decide to install Fedora 7 yesterday using the boot.iso (posted build 23/03/07) I got from a mirror. It took more than 24 hours for the system to download/install through FTP.

Nvm.
I install it on single drive (IDE) and no other drive was present.

I set Grub to install on MBR and used the default disk allocation/partitioning.

Apparently the system doesn't boot now. I receive a screen of Grub microkernel, and hang me on console mode (grub> ) with limited commands to try.

I tried to use the root hd0(to hd4),0(to 5) but it couldn't find the disks.

Is there any way to find out my disk layout and names?

I tried to use my boot.iso again and try to rescue the system, but the ftp has now updated the image to 24/03/07 build and it's not matching my boot.iso (I had the same problem and burned 5 CDs trying to catch the fast changes on the newer builds).

I don't mind if there is a way to install another boot loader (lilo will do the job perfectly) to gain access on my installation.

Thank you
P
