doom3 virtual memory (SLOW)

I am running fedora core 6 64bit when I try to run it it tells me this.

WARNING: vertex array range in virtual memory (SLOW)

Please need help I'm stuck I have nvidia drivers installed also.

Virtual memory, as in paged out to hard disk likely. Which is slow.

See how much physical and swap you're using, run
