If your last attempt to install Fedora went all the way to the end where you are instructed to remove disks and reboot and...
If your computer reboots straight into XP like it always has...
Then you are not installing GRUB in the master boot record and are likely either choosing to install it in first sector of the Linux partition or are not installing GRUB at all.
The standard advice is to reinstall GRUB in the master boot record using the first installation CD and linux rescue, the steps of which are well documented. However, I really think the simplest thing to tell you to do is to reinstall Fedora again. But, as you proceed through the installation next time, watch carefully for and choose to install GRUB in the master boot record.
