I have installed the mplayer,I can play the *.rm file,but can not play the online rm

like rstp://****/file.rm
how can I install the rm file firefox plugin

You've already asked this in another thread. The reason perhaps is because the mplayer-plugin you installed contains a RealPlayer 9 'compatible' plugin and it might not be all that compatible

I'd delete that particular plugin from '/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins' (something rm.so) and install RealPlayer 10 from the link I already gave you. If you have both there may be some conflict when trying to play Real files.

BTW. I'm no longer able to play embedded Real files on the BBC site, I now have to launch the standalone RealPlayer to view them.

Edit: After you install RealPlayer 10 open a Terminal and type:

su -

give the root password and then type:

realplay

and follow the prompts.
