internet configuration from window-maker

Hello! my browser is window maker, fedora core.
I'm trying to hook up to the internet using a USB cord that connects with the Broadband box
(alas, i'm not a computer geek so i definitely have some terminology wrong...)

But in configuration i have 3 options: ethernet, modem, or isdn.
And in each of those options the info fields are:
name, device, isp phonenumber, isp login, isp password, and msn.


Should I add some kind of USB option?
Can I hook up via USB under one of the options already available?
