I have searched but I can not find a basic beginners guide for Fedora.

I suggest the mjmwired link. Be forewarned that you DONT want to mix 3rd party repos. Stick with Livna. Our community manger Jim also has a great guide. Just search "Jim" in the search box and look for the community manager with the weird pumkin avatar and click the link in his sig.
