Exclamation boot trouble

after a couple of trys i finally got fc6 to install on my drive (sata) quite pleased with myself, never used linux before, booted up everything ok, then came time to download new updates again ok was asked to reboot only it didnt being new to this i didnt know what to do so i reinstaled it (three times) each time ok untill i downloaded updates also discovered an error while it was trying to boot jmb 361 dma base invalid updates or invalid causing the trouble or both help

So you went to System>Shutdown hit reboot and nothing happened ?
Try opening a terminal Applications>Accessories>Terminal then type :

su - <-- with the dash, enter you pass when asked
shutdown -r now

And see what happens.

The error that you're seeing shouldn't be a big deal, it's probably related to a JMicron IDE controller on your board, if it's the secondary controller and you're not using it try disabling it in the BIOS.
