help me troubleshoot bluetooth

Hi all,

I've got bluetooth working for the most part. This is on my bluetooth equipped laptop. I can see my phone, and I can transfer files from my phone to my linux laptop. However, I have been unable to send files from my laptop to my phone.

I right-click on the file, click "send to..." and Bluetooth (OBEX) is the device for "Send as:" and the Bluetooth symbol animates, but never finds my device.

I can see the device with hcitool scan, however, my l2ping fails with a no response. I guess they've removed gnome-bluetooth-manager, so I can't use that gui that they talk about in some of my searches. If anyone has some advice as to how to trouble shoot this I would be grateful!

Thanks,

hector

I just did... was not aware of hidd.

At any rate, hidd server is running. I tried the connect command, which produced some confusing output:

Code:
[mjon@galactica ~]$ hidd --connect 00:07:E0:XX:XX:XX
Can't get device information: Success
I was able to send one file too... so I know it can work, however it's not working anymore. When I run hidd --show afterward, nothing shows, and when I run hidd --search, nothing is found.

I have confirmed that my bluetooth phone is on and visible.
