Question Disable Tool Tips or "HINTS" ??
well this will be the 2nd post to this Q
Does anyone know how to disable the little pop-ups/hints/descriptions that come up when you point at an Icon in gnome desktop. Im running FC6 and beryl. I know they can be edited but can they be disabled?

in Gnome Configuration Editor

drill down to the path /apps/panel/global/tooltips_enabled uncheck to disable
or run the following command

gconftool-2 -s '/apps/panel/global/tooltips_enabled' --type bool false
