ATI video card

I use ATI radeon 7000 card

I have windows and fedora 6 on the same machine' and I switch between them, and while I get cool 3d effects on the fedora to work nicely, when surfinf I notice very slow performance on my firefox window. scrolling down is hard labor ! Is this a video card driver problem or is it a problem with firefox? do I need to download additional packages for the ATI card?
