Question How do realtime backup when file change should be automatic backup

I am having hard time search for info about backup for automatic when file change from server for office.

i just butli server (fedora 6) and doing as file server.

i put fedora 6 os on ide 20gb hdd, file share (access from office pcs) 1x 320gb hdd with raid sata control and (backup change once a week) 2x usb 320gb hdd.

i am trying use int 320gb data from office to be back up full automatic to usb when it is connect and keep backup when file been change etc.

when 1 week is pass need disconnect usb and put 2nd usb and connect and keep automatic backup without human tonch the server only person will have to disconnect usb hdd and connect other for each week back up and keep automatic forever till server got problem or data got virus and we can restore 1 week before and fix it.

how do it?

plus explain clear due i am deaf and i am doing for my brother office.

i hope fourm does help me out and i am not expert yet and i like play with fedora and i still long way get understand deeper. me (backup never though about it that my brother ask me to)

That post talks about periodic backups.

I can think of two implementations that could probably handle what jazzaamiga wants to do:

One would be to rotate disks through a RAID 1 mirror, rebuilding the mirror each week as if the other USB drive had failed.

The other would be to write a little daemon using gamin to monitor the filesystem on the internal drive and copy files as they changed to the backup. A good introduction to the process can be found here: http://www.gnome.org/~veillard/gamin/python.html

jazzaamiga, if either of those solutions sound interesting to you, do a little research yourself and come back with specific implementation questions.

i have gone though many different ways but i have found and i liked zetbackup.

it took me while to find gui one and i did test all what they(forum) told.

thank user it very interest there is many way can do but i have found very simple and can be use web i think it will be easy for office to see without touch the linux server just plug in usb hdd and walk away so person will look at web and do backup or see report etc. i think i have found it is very nice features.
