Open Office Math

Is there a feature in Fedora Core 6 similar to Excel that will permit a 'text-to-columns' move of data. I have a name list in Column A consisting of FNAME,LNAME and would like to move the data such that FNAME would appear in cell B1, and LNAME in cell C1, and so on until the Column A data is moved to columns B and C. How do I do that? I'm sure there is a feature in FC6 to do that, but I am unable to find it.

Bob

Here's one method

Put this formula in cell B1

=LEFT(A1;SEARCH(",";A1)-1)

Put this formula in cell C1

=RIGHT(A1;LEN(A1)-SEARCH(",";A1))

Then just drag the formulas down columns B and C to autofill the whole column
