ISPConfig Login Problem

Hey guys. i just installed the ISPConfig exactly as they said but... in the end.. when it says to access it by http://www.abc.de:81 the browser seem to find it ( i mean.. if i write something different it will say it didn't find it) but it doesn't show up anything. the cursor indicates the browser is working on this then.. after a time.. i get an error like:

the server at www.abc.de is taking too long to respond

so i can't see anything to log in.

anybody knows something about this?
please help me!

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:81
this will show me the login screen.

but how can i access it just by writing that http://www.xyz.de:81 thing it did give me at the end of the install?

do you have a dns record for the www.abc.de? if not you can use dyndns.org, they have a free dns forwarder.

yes you should be able to connect to the server by its hostname such as http://localhost:81 but make sure the you have an entry in /etc/hosts for the alias for the server such as ...

12.23.34.45 www.abc.de

everything was fine with the settings.
the problem is that in the ISPConfig manual they say that it will save settings if u switch to another tab in the pannel.
well.. i couldn't log in until i especially write the user and password and hit that SAVE button.
after a minute or so..i could log in.
thanks.
