Newuser with multiboot?

hi everyone,
i'm a new user to linux and i just installed fedora on my system. my problem is that i'm running windows xp media centre and can't get it to boot.

fedora runs but windows displays msg "chainloader +1 " and hangs.
currently fedora sits on 40 gig primary drive windows xp sits on 250 gig primary slave
when system boots i have two options windows xp or fedora...fedora works but windows dosen't

any insight would be helpful!

I posted the normal solution but FC6/FC7 will not install /boot and grub correctly on a boot partition on the slave drive.

SO, keeping things as you have them,
you need to use the map drives method.

Seach for grub map (devicemap) to switch the drivves via grub convetions before the boot in the /boot/grub/menu.lst

Seach for posts showing how.

you need to edit your /etc/grub.conf file to either add the entry for windows, or alter the entry you already have. i have fedora on my first SATA drive and windows XP on the second; here's my grub entry:

Code:
title Windows XP
	map (hd0) (hd1)
	map (hd1) (hd0)
	rootnoverify (hd1,1)
	chainloader +1
	makeactive
	boot
