Well, I finally got back to the task and tried what you suggested. Put the line into fstab, but mount media/floppy just gives me an error message. Thanks anyway!

Oops. I will have to take that back! Just out of curiosity I tried mounting the floppy from the regular panel icon, and it worked! It must have been that line in fstab that did it. So now the problem IS solved!
