What is needed to burn ISOs ?

I have downloaded the Fedora core 6 64 bit .iso image, and now am trying to burn it to a bootable DVD.

I have always been able to just double click an ISO, and LInux knew what to do. But this has failed on two Fedoras in a row. It displays the list of applications and asks me which one I want to open the .iso with.

Obviously the ISO type is not associated with its program. I have no idea which program does that. It was always so automatic it never occured to me to wonder.

So does anyone know which program I should associate ISOs with?

Try "man cdrecord" or this link

Did you download the complete file?

Ah, kudos to urzasrage. The file size is 3.2 G, and the download site says it is 3.8 G. Since Linux goes by what the file is, rather than what the extender claims it is, and an incomplete file really isn't an ISO, I guess it should fail to burn.
