How to share files and printers between a Windows XP and Fedora computer?

OK i am trying to set up a home network laptop with xp and my desktop fedora core 6 i do not know where to start i want to share files and printers. xp does not see the other and i have no clue if fedora sees xp. i need guidence to where to start on fedora to set up a network. i have internet, dsl xp on wireless and fedora through ethernet in same modem. If you have filesharing turned on in XP, you should be able to see the shared using Places -> Network Servers -> Windows Network. To share files from Linux use System -> Administration -> Server Settings -> Samba.

neither server settings or samba are on that or any other menue that i could see. i looked at all other things that could be relevent but could not see samba fc 6 Dritzz

ok that got the samba installed. now how do i share my fc6's printers with xp laptop? i sure thank you for helping me. Dritzz

Ok now I have Samba and I have it Sharing for read only. win xp pro (laptop still sees nothing. i am not sure in my linux box sees the laptop. is there any doc. i can read somewhere that will guide me in this setup. Dritzz121
