emacs can't SHIFT+ALT+> to move to top/bottom of file in terminal

Hi,
I am used to using SHIFT+ALT+> to move to the bottom of the page while in emacs using terminal. I have been able to do this for as long as I can remember and can do it just fine from putty.

But from FC6 terminal sessions I cannot. It simply prints a '>' or '<' sign in the file without moving the cursor. This seems like it must be a simple keymap issue with Konsole & Terminal but I cannot find any setting in either. I am using 'emacs -nw' (non-X) KDE with FC6.

Any suggestions would help, thanks!

This is not a very good answer, but SHIFT+ALT+> works in the Gnome terminal. Have you tried Esc instead of ALT?

I checked on what you suggested and realized that this behaviour is only occuring when using the freenx client in windows. When i switch to the actual FC6 box and actual X session, the SHIFT+ALT+> works just fine, my mistake for not checking this.

So, this must be related to somthing freenx is doing. I don't see any setting to control keyboard mapping. ESC+ALT actually brings up the kill session dialog for freenx. Thanks for the suggestion, it has helped me barrow it down. I will try searching the freenx site.
