Question Which Architecture?

Which architecture should I choose for rpm files if I havea FC5 (KDE)? With some I need certain dependencies, and with others, it installs without complaining.

Note: I have FC5 with no Internet and a small 5G hard drive( :( )
I would prefer to have .rpm packages, but for simple stuff (like tutorials), .tar.gz type files are good.

Unless you have a very old machine, 486 or 1st. generation Pentium, you'll be looking to install the i686 versions if they exist. However, if all that's available is the i386, it's still acceptable.

Of course, if you've installed the X86_64 kernel (64 bit operation) use the X86_64 programs unless there's very special circumstances.
