Angry Mp3 player won't mount

I can't seem to mount my Creative ZEN Mp3 player under FC6. I've read that these devices are supposed to automount, however it doesn't work for me. I've rebooted with it plugged in, attempted to mount it manually, with no success.

The only shred of hope I've found is when I run lsusb as root, it detects the Zen.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
-Roger

You can only use it with a program like Gnomad2, unless it is in removable disk mode which is only for data files, not MP3.

Gnomad2 (for gnome):
Code:
su -c 'yum install gnomad2'

zeroelixis has it right, use gnomad2. It works for music and data transfers as
well as creating playlists as well as some settings on the unit.

Ahhhh, ok. Thanks alot.
I had Amarok and Gnomad 2 installed, but something was causing my Zen to freeze up occasionally, and therefore, not be detected. Should work now, thanks alot.

Ok, my player is now detected by both Amarok and Gnomad, however, I can neither transfer songs nor play them from the unit. In Amarok, I get an error message (Some media could not be loaded (not playable)) and in Gnomad nothing happens when I attempt to transfer. I can't seem to find any information online about this problem. I have Amarok configured with the Helix engine and mp3 compatibility.
Thanks in advance.

i had this sort of problem with a CF card reader that was used for an MP3 player.

mine only works if i plug the card into the reader first, and then plug the reader into my USB port. sounds strange but it works fine like that. you should search yumex for ZEN too. i think i saw it on there once.

Okay, I tried plugging it in first, made no difference. I'll try searching yumex now. Thanks.
