FC6 skype problem

Hello all
Just a little problem , Could not get mic to work in skype
When i installed fc6 i installed Gnome and kde and i think this is the problem,
So i reinstalled fc6 using only kde as my gui, installed skype and set up,in kmix
choose 6ch under switches tab .
After this skype test call worked ok.
Has anyone had this problem?
Can it be fixed so has to give you a choice of kde or gnome?

I have had a lot of problems with skype lately. The last version for linux seems to be really bogus. Check their forums for more info: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showforum=18

What I've done sometimes is to use the old version which still doesnt have alsa support...at least i can talk to people..
